Commissioned in the 2010s, Japanese JS Sōryū Submarine (SS-501 Series) submarines are among the most advanced non-nuclear submarines globally. Equipped with air-independent Stirling engines, they can operate silently for extended periods underwater, playing a crucial role in Japanese’s maritime defense.
This 30-inch model is handcrafted using the traditional plank-on-frame method and premium Canadian red cedar, Teak, Mahogany,... From the angular bow and quiet propulsion design to the compact yet modern sail (conning tower), this model reflects the high-performance engineering of contemporary Asian naval power. Completion time ranges from 3 to 6 months depending on design details.

- Deck detailing and structures
- Final painting and finishing touches
We’ll make adjustments until you’re completely satisfied with the model. After your approval, the finished model will be packed in a custom wooden crate with protective interior
